Tihitina Dagnachew is a program associate who manages several projects. She helps to plan and co-leads mentoring sessions, Youth Advisory Council meetings and Discover SisterMentors information sessions. She also assists with EduSeed’s general operations. Tihitina previously interned at Alliance for Justice as a Bolder Advocacy intern during the summer of 2018 and 2019 where she researched and wrote blog posts on voter turnout and the positive effects of advocacy.

Tihitina graduated from the University of Virginia in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. During her undergraduate studies, she took courses in race relations which sparked her interest in racial justice and equity.

Originally from Germany, Tihitina has been a resident of the Washington, D.C. area for almost 20 years. In her spare time, she likes to write poetry and take walks in her neighborhood. She is a SisterMentors alumna. Having joined the program when she was twelve years old and in middle school, Tihitina credits SisterMentors with playing a huge role in her academic success.
