HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS!!
Something good happens at SisterMentors every day and we are always delighted to share that good news with you! So here are some recent happenings:
  • Dr. Shireen Lewis was selected by the Bar Association of the District of Columbia for the Honorable Annice M. Wagner Pioneer Award for her work with SisterMentors. Congrats Dr. Lewis!!!

  • Koritha Mitchell became SisterMentors' 23rd Ph.D. in October 2005. Congrats Dr. Mitchell!!!

  • Losang Rabgey, a SisterMentors woman, was selected for the 2006 National Geographic Society Emerging Explorers Award for her work in Tibet. Congrats Losang!!

  • And finally, our Fall/Winter 2005 Annual Newsletter is online. We hope you enjoy reading about the wonderful work SisterMentors is doing. This newsletter helps to launch our annual fundraising drive. If you like the work SisterMentors is doing --- helping women of color to get Ph.Ds and mentoring girls of color encouraging them to go to college --- then please support us this holiday season!
